I finished these two items up last month but just finally got around to getting some quick pics taken today. The first picture is the modified helmet liner I made to fit my son. He *loves* it. He calls it his "Soldier Hat" and is thrilled that it keeps his ears warm. Poor little guy's ears even get cold in the refrigerated area of the grocery store so this hat is great for when he's out playing on the playground where it's really cold.

Of course he needed some mittens to go with it so I made a quick and easy pair to match. As luck would have it I ran out of yarn when I was 3/4 of the way through the second mitten. That required a quick trip to Twist to pick up another skein. Since they didn't require much at all I'm going to use the remainder of the skein to make another helmet liner to donate. Here are the mittens:

I better get back to cooking. I'm busy preparing some appetizers to take to our annual New Year's Eve party. The Tortilla Roll-ups are chilling in the refrigerator waiting to be sliced. The onions are almost done caramelizing for the onion dip. After I finish that it's time to make the famous No-Bake Cookies. Yum, yum, yum.

Happy New Year Everyone!!
